Mining Team is the kind of set that exists to fill a lunchbox and a Saturday afternoon, and it does exactly that without pretending to be more. The drill vehicle is chunky and purposeful, the kind of thing a seven-year-old will immediately pick up and make vroom noises with. Four minifigs at this price is a legitimate win, even if none of them are going to headline anyone's display case. The build clocks in fast — we're talking twenty minutes tops — which is either a problem or the point, depending on who's buying. As a standalone shelf piece it's forgettable, and the secondary market has basically no interest in it. But strip all that away and you've got a City staple that's priced right for what it is.
