795 pieces for $120 in 2017 was a stretch, and the Coast Guard theme never quite had the pull to make buyers forget the price tag. There's a solid playset buried in here, but it's working against an uphill battle.
Is the price fair?F120 bucks for a coast guard playset is a tough sell then and now.
Will you love it?B-Fun enough if you're into the City theme, but it won't stick with you long.
Holds its value?C-Quietly retired and quietly forgotten — secondary market reflects that.

The Full Take
Coast Guard Headquarters is the kind of City set that does a lot right on paper — seven minifigs, a headquarters building, a helicopter, a boat, and enough scenario-building fodder to keep a kid busy for an afternoon. The build itself is competent without being memorable, a sprawling coastal layout that feels more like a playmat than a display piece. At $120, LEGO® was asking a lot for a theme that never generated the collector enthusiasm of, say, Modular Buildings or licensed properties. The minifig count helps justify the footprint for play purposes, but display collectors will find it a tough sell shelf-side. It's a set that ages fine in a kid's room and fades quietly out of conversation everywhere else. A C overall feels right — not broken, just never quite special enough to earn real enthusiasm.
