The Full Take
The Jungle Exploration Site has a good instinct: dense greenery, a croc, a helicopter, researchers in the field. Seven minifigs spread across a sprawling baseplate sounds like a party. But $120 MSRP for a set that never quite coheres into a centerpiece — it's a collection of vignettes rather than a destination — is where the goodwill runs out. The build is pleasant without being memorable, the kind of afternoon you enjoy and then struggle to describe. As a theme, City Jungle had real charm, and this is its biggest entry, which counts for something. The problem is the price demanded premium-set ambition, and this delivered a solid B.
