The Full Take
The Mobile Command Centre is City police doing what City police does: trucks, a helicopter, minifigs, stickers, and a playset vibe that kids will dig and collectors will mostly ignore. The build is functional rather than inspired — there's a fold-out command station and some decent vehicle shaping, but no single moment that makes you stop and appreciate a clever technique. At $49.99 it sat on the high side for what's here, which is probably why it moved slower than LEGO®'s better City entries that year. Four minifigs is respectable for a set this size, and the helicopter adds a second vehicle without feeling tacked on. It's not a bad set — it's just a set that never quite rises above its genre. Solid B- material: fine, functional, forgettable.
