A promotional pod set with one Kai minifig and 37 pieces — this is a freebie bonus, not a purchase decision. The C- reflects exactly what it is: a grab-bag extra that belongs in the 'got it with something else' category.
Is the price fair?B+N/A — this was a promotional item, not a retail purchase.
Will you love it?COne decent minifig surrounded by a forgettable build that's over before it starts.
Holds its value?C-D+ — promo sets can surprise, but 37-piece pods rarely command a crowd on the secondary market.

The Full Take
Kai's Dojo Pod was never meant to stand alone — it's a 2017 Ninjago Movie promotional item, the kind of thing tucked into a bag or handed out at an event. Thirty-seven pieces and one minifig make a complete picture of what this is: a brand touchpoint, not a set. The build wraps up before you've settled in, which is fine when you paid nothing and rough when you didn't. What you actually get scores reasonably well — Kai in his movie costume is the real prize here — but the pod itself is forgettable plastic. The C- overall is generous in some ways and fair in others; it's a product doing exactly what it was designed to do, just not much more.
