The Full Take
Oscar Piastri is having a moment, and LEGO® is cashing in fast. The helmet itself is a clean build with decent shelf presence — the McLaren papaya colorway pops — but $90 for 793 pieces with one minifig is a tough sell when the subject matter is this niche. Helmet sets live or die by their display value, and this one holds up on a shelf better than it holds up on a receipt. The build experience is solid enough, with the curved SNOT work that defines the helmet series, but nothing here breaks new ground technically. If you're a Piastri fan or deep into F1, it lands differently — it's essentially merchandise with bricks. For everyone else, the price is the story, and it's not a good one.
