794 pieces and five minifigs for $90 is a tough sell when the build lands somewhere between 'charming' and 'just okay' — the Friends theme carries this one more than the set earns on its own.
Is the price fair?B-Nearly $90 for a set that feels like a $70 set is a friction point that's hard to shake.

The Full Take
The Heartlake City Friends Club House has the right instincts: a social hangout space, five minifigs with room to play, and the cozy Friends aesthetic that's kept this theme running for over a decade. At 794 pieces it's a solid afternoon build, but the techniques don't push anything forward and the structure feels more functional than inspired. The $89.99 ask is where things get uncomfortable — this is a set that looks like it should cost less, and the price-to-payoff gap is hard to ignore. Kids who are already in the Friends universe will get real mileage out of it; the club house format is tailor-made for the kind of open-ended social play that makes Friends sticky with its audience. Display collectors will find it presentable but not a showstopper — it reads as a Friends set first, a shelf piece second. Resale history on Friends sets this size is middling at best, so buy it because someone in your house will love it, not because the market will.
