Heartlake City Apartments and Stores is the kind of Friends set that actually delivers on its cover art: four distinct businesses at street level, lived-in apartments above, and enough minifigs to fill the whole block with drama. The build itself rewards patience — the modular-style layering gives you real architectural variety without feeling repetitive. Nine minifigs is a legitimately generous haul for this theme, and the mix of interior detail and street-facing facade means it works from every angle. The problem is the price. $170 is a hard number to defend when comparable city-scale sets exist for less, and the parts-per-dollar math quietly stings. It's a B-tier set with A-tier ambitions trapped in an overpriced box. Buy it on sale and it's a great time; pay full retail and you'll feel it.
