A music talent show in Heartlake City sounds like exactly the kind of set that shouldn't work, and yet $64.99 for a stage, a crowd, and four minifigs dressed for their moment lands better than expected.
Is the price fair?A+Fairly priced for the scene it builds — no complaints at $64.99.
Will you love it?B-Fun concept, solid minifig count, but the build won't wow anyone over ten.
Holds its value?B-Friends sets rarely surge; expect steady, not spectacular.

The Full Take
The Friends theme has always leaned hard into slice-of-life scenarios, and a talent show is one of the better ones — it gives the set a built-in story without needing a license to carry it. The stage setup is colorful enough to feel complete, with the kind of detail that makes a kid want to set the scene and play it out. Four minifigs is a solid count for this price point, and the costuming is specific enough to feel intentional rather than generic. At $64.99 it's fairly priced for what's here — not a steal, but not a stretch either. The build itself won't challenge older fans, but that's not really the point; this is a set that knows its audience. Where it loses a step is shelf presence — it reads more as a playset than a display piece, and without a theme connection to pull in collectors, it'll move through a kid's hands before it ever sees a shelf. A solid B+ overall, and one of the friendlier buys in the 2024 Friends lineup.
