The Full Take
The Heartlake City Hospital Ambulance is a functional, likable Friends set that does exactly what it promises: a cute ambulance, a hospital bay, three minifigs, and plenty of play hooks for kids who are into the theme. The build itself is competent without being exciting, and the parts selection is pretty standard Friends fare. At $34.99 it's hard to stomach — the price here feels like LEGO® banking on brand loyalty rather than delivering proportionate value, which drags an otherwise decent set into C territory. The minifig lineup is solid for the theme and kids will get genuine mileage out of the ambulance and the medical play scenario. But this is clearly a play set, not a display piece, and it won't do anything interesting on the secondary market after retirement. If the price comes down 20–25%, the calculus changes entirely — at full MSRP it's a reluctant buy.
