The Dodge Viper GTS-R deserves better than this — a legendary racing machine reduced to a Technic skeleton that struggles to capture what made the real car iconic.

The Full Take
The Dodge Viper GTS-R is one of the most visceral American sports cars ever built, so the pressure on this set is real. At $64.99 for 805 pieces the price isn't the problem — LEGO® landed that part fine. The problem is the result. Technic car sets live or die by how convincingly they translate a silhouette, and the GTS-R's long hood and wide haunches are notoriously hard to nail in studded beams. This one doesn't quite get there. The build itself is functional but lean on surprises, and without a strong display payoff or standout mechanism to anchor it, the set feels like a missed opportunity on a license that deserved a real moment.
