The Full Take
Mobile Crane sounds like a serious Technic statement, but 60 pieces tells a different story. There's no build experience worth chasing here — the model goes up fast and leaves you with something that barely registers on a shelf. Technic's whole appeal is the engineering, the function, the satisfying complexity, and this set skips all of it. At this price point, LEGO® is asking you to pay for a name, not a product. The play value is thin, the display presence is thinner, and there's nothing in the parts selection that makes it a useful donor set either. A D across the board is hard to argue with — this one is hard to recommend to anyone.
