The Full Take
Moon exploration is a genuinely compelling theme, and LEGO® Technic has the tools to do it justice — but this rover feels like it stops short of its own potential. The functions work, the suspension does its thing, and there's a real build here worth an afternoon. The problem is $99.99 puts it in a tier where buyers expect to be wowed, and the visual payoff is closer to 'competent' than 'stunning.' No minifigs means nothing to hand off to a kid when the build wraps up, and the grey-heavy palette doesn't pop on a shelf. It's a C+ because it clears the bar — just not by much.
