The Full Take
Wheel loaders don't get a lot of LEGO® love, so the L120 showing up in Technic is worth noting. The problem is that at $120, this set has to clear a high bar — and it lands somewhere in the middle. The build captures the silhouette of the real machine reasonably well, but the functional payoff and overall complexity feel like they belong in a cheaper box. Technic fans who collect licensed construction equipment will find it passable, but passable isn't what you want from a triple-digit set. The electric angle is a nice nod to Volvo's real-world shift, but it doesn't translate into anything meaningful in the model itself. A C+ is fair — not broken, not exciting.
