The Apollo LRV is one of those sets that lives or dies on how much you care about the subject matter. Technic fans get a complex, satisfying chassis build with real mechanical detail — folding seats, articulating wheels, working equipment rack — but the shelf presence is modest for $220. No minifigs means no astronauts beside the rover, which is a real gap for a vehicle defined by the humans who drove it on the Moon. The price grades out rough: comparable NASA Technic sets have offered more visual payoff per dollar. That said, the LRV is a genuinely obscure vehicle choice that LEGO® doesn't revisit often, and the build process is where most of the value lives.
