A 252-piece McLaren Technic set that costs $27 and delivers almost nothing worth remembering — the NEOM livery is the loudest thing about it, and even that's just a sticker sheet.
Is the price fair?C$27 for this much car is a tough sell when better Technic options exist at the same shelf.
Will you love it?D+The build is short, the functions are minimal, and the finished model won't pull you back for a second look.
Holds its value?C-Low-profile licensed Technic at this scale rarely moves the needle after retirement.

The Full Take
The McLaren name carries real weight in motorsport, but this set doesn't borrow much of that shine. At 252 pieces, the build wraps up fast and leaves you holding something that looks more like a study model than a finished display piece. Technic at this price point usually offers at least one clever mechanism or satisfying function — this one leans on looks it can't quite land. The NEOM livery is striking on the actual race truck, but stickers on small panels rarely translate the way you hope. No minifigs, no real play function to speak of, and shelf presence that fades the moment anything bigger sits nearby. It's not a broken set, just a forgettable one — and forgettable at $27 is still a miss.
