The Off-Road Race Buggy is the kind of set LEGO® makes to fill a price point, and it shows. At $19.99 you get a competent little rolling chassis with steering and a rear spoiler, but the build wraps up before you've really settled in. The buggy's proportions are decent for the scale — squat, aggressive stance, not embarrassing on a desk — but there's no motor, no gearbox, no clever mechanism to make a Technic fan lean in. For a first Technic set for a younger kid it works fine; for anyone else the C+ overall is probably generous. It's not a bad set so much as an invisible one — you won't regret buying it, but you probably won't remember building it either.
