The real Perseverance rover is one of humanity's genuinely cool achievements, which makes the pressure on this set real. At 1132 pieces, the Technic build captures the silhouette well enough — the rocker-bogie suspension moves, the arm articulates, and the detail reads from across the room. But $100 for a Technic set with no real payoff in clever engineering or standout display finish is where the cracks show. The build itself is methodical rather than satisfying — lots of beam-stacking that never has a big reveal moment. On a shelf it reads as a decent replica, not a showpiece. It's not a bad set, just a set that doesn't quite live up to its subject.
