Two hundred dollars for a Le Mans racer with no rear wing is a bold choice — LEGO® charged flagship money for a set that builds like a mid-tier one.
Is the price fair?B-$200 for a C-grade build is a tough sell no matter how you look at it.
Will you love it?C-Decent shelf presence, underwhelming build journey — you'll finish it and feel fine, not fired up.

The Full Take
The Peugeot 9X8 is one of motorsport's most distinctive machines, a hypercar that raced without a rear wing on sheer aerodynamic confidence. LEGO® captured the silhouette well enough, but the build experience doesn't match the price tag — 1775 pieces that feel stretched thin across a chassis that never quite delivers that 'wow' moment you expect at $200. The details are fine, the proportions read as Peugeot, and it'll sit on a shelf without embarrassing itself. But Technic at this price point has set a high bar, and this one lands comfortably in the middle of the pack. The real car is a piece of motorsport history; the set is a decent tribute that asked too much at checkout.
