The Full Take
Formula E doesn't get nearly enough LEGO® love, so the 99x Electric had a real shot here. At 422 pieces for fifty bucks, though, the math just doesn't work in your favor — you're not getting a build that justifies the ask. The model itself is passable: sleek lines, recognizable silhouette, and the pink-and-black livery reads well in plastic. But 'passable' is the ceiling, not the floor, and Technic at this price tier should clear that bar easily. There's no standout building moment, no jaw-dropping technique, nothing that makes you stop and say 'oh that's clever.' It's a licensed nameplate on a middling chassis, and the Porsche badge does most of the heavy lifting. If you love Formula E or need to complete a racing shelf, it's fine — but 'fine' at $49.99 is a miss.
