The Ferrari 488 GTE is a genuinely beautiful race car in real life, and the LEGO® version captures the silhouette well enough to earn a glance from across the room. But at $199.99, you're paying supercar money for a build that delivers mid-tier Technic thrills — the mechanical payoff is thin, the color-blocked bodywork hides more than it reveals, and there's no engine model worth talking about. For a licensed Ferrari at this price point, builders expect something to discover under the hood. What you get instead is a lot of red panels over a frame that moves through its paces quickly. It's not a bad set — it's just a set that never quite justifies the premium the license commands. The C overall says it all: fine, forgettable, and priced like the badge does all the work.
