Race Plane is the kind of set that exists to fill a price point, and LEGO® hit that target cleanly. At $9.99 you're not being gouged, and the plane silhouette is recognizable enough that the finished model doesn't embarrass itself. But 154 pieces go by in a blink, and Technic at this scale doesn't have room for the clever geometry that makes the theme worth loving. There's no minifig, no standout part, no build moment you'll remember. It's a C set through and through — not offensive, not exciting, just there.
