The Osprey's whole thing is that it can't decide if it's a helicopter or a plane, and LEGO® leans into that tension with a working tilt-rotor mechanism that actually shifts modes. The build has real substance — 1636 pieces of Technic scaffolding that reward patience and deliver a model with genuine shelf presence when it's done. The problem is the price tag, which landed so far above where it should be that it dragged the overall score down hard. There are no minifigs, no gimmicks beyond the tilt-rotor, and the military theme narrows the audience before you even open the box. For builders who love aviation and complex mechanisms, this scratches an itch that very few other sets touch. For everyone else, it's a set you admire more than you love.
