The Full Take
Volvo and LEGO® teamed up to make the ZEUX feel like a museum piece from the construction world, and the concept-vehicle angle does give it a certain futuristic silhouette. The build has moments of genuine Technic cleverness — the articulated arm and wheel loader geometry keep things interesting mid-build. But at $140, you're paying a premium for a set that doesn't quite justify it: the play functions feel limited, the shelf presence is bold but not stunning, and the part selection isn't remarkable enough to win over parts-hunters. It lands in that awkward middle zone where it's not special enough to display proudly, not deep enough to replay, and not underpriced enough to feel like a smart buy. A C+ is about right — competent, forgettable, overpriced by about $20.
