A logging truck that costs $150 and lands a C is basically Technic's way of saying 'we made it functional, not lovable.' The Forest Harvester moves, grabs, and extends — but at that price, it had better.
Is the price fair?D+$150 for a C-grade build is a hard sell — Technic has better flagships at this price.
Will you love it?CWorks as advertised, but 'functional logging truck' is a narrow brief to fall in love with.
Holds its value?C-Flat secondary market, no meaningful premium after retirement — nothing here moves the needle.

The Full Take
The Forest Harvester is a mechanically competent Technic set that does exactly what the name promises — it harvests, it extends, it grabs — and stops there. At $149.99 for a C-tier score, the asking price is the loudest problem; you're paying flagship money for a mid-tier experience. The yellow color block and logging theme give it a workhorse personality rather than a showpiece one, which limits its shelf appeal. Builders will find working pneumatics and linear actuators worth poking at, but the overall build experience doesn't quite justify the premium. Kids can play with it, but the complexity skews older and the play pattern is narrow — grab log, drop log, repeat. The secondary market hasn't rewarded patience here, so you're not buying into a sleeper hit. Buy it because logging machinery is your thing, not because the math works out.
