The Full Take
The Mack Anthem arrived at a price point that felt almost aggressive for what LEGO® was delivering — nearly 2,600 pieces of serious Technic engineering for under $180. The build itself is a long-haul commitment: a full cab-over semi with steering, a detailed engine block, and proportions that actually read as a real rig. On a shelf it holds its own, that bold red cab carrying enough visual weight to anchor a Technic display without looking like a parts experiment. The weak spot is that "what you get" beyond the build is thin — no trailer, no meaningful accessories, just the truck. Resale history is middling, so don't buy this expecting the aftermarket to reward you. Buy it because building a Mack Anthem at this price, in 2018 dollars, was a flat-out deal that's harder to find in Technic now.
