The Full Take
The First Responder is Technic in a quiet year, filling shelf space without filling a role. The build is workmanlike — a few steering and suspension functions — but nothing here will make a seasoned builder stop and think. At fifty dollars, you're not getting the scale or complexity that justifies the ask; other Technic sets in the same price band punch considerably harder. Display-wise it reads as a half-finished prototype rather than a hero model. The rescue truck theme has real potential for drama and detail, but this execution leaves most of that on the table. A C- overall is the honest read: not a disaster, just a set that never quite showed up.
