The Full Take
The Airport Rescue Vehicle is one of those Technic sets where the concept sounds better than the execution. At $100, you're getting a chunky, functional model with working features, but the aesthetics are clunky even by Technic standards — it reads more like a prototype than a finished vehicle. The build itself is competent without being exciting, the kind of session you finish and feel neutral about. No minifigs means nothing to hand a kid, and the play value skews toward older builders who appreciate the mechanics — except those builders will probably find better options at this price. Shelf presence is awkward; it's too lumpy to display proudly and too simple to impress guests. Resale holds marginally better than the experience warrants, but that's a low bar.
