The Heartlake City Community Centre is the kind of set that does a lot right and then hands you a price tag that makes you wince. Six minifigs and 1,513 pieces build out a genuinely busy little hub — there's a pool, a stage, a café, and enough rooms to keep a kid bouncing between stories. The modular layout means it photographs well and holds together on a shelf, even if it won't stop traffic the way an Icons set might. The problem is simple: $139.99 is a steep entry point for a Friends set, and the price grade reflects that clearly. Playability is solid and the build is engaging enough to hold an older kid's attention across a full afternoon. But the value just isn't there at full retail — wait for a sale and the picture changes considerably.
