The vet clinic play pattern is strong enough that kids will keep coming back to it — too bad LEGO® charged a premium price for a 267-piece set that should be sitting at $29.99.
Is the price fair?F$39.99 for 267 pieces in a theme that usually runs cheaper — the math just doesn't work.
Will you love it?B+Kids who are into animal care will play with this over and over; the scenario sells itself.

The Full Take
Heartlake City Vet Clinic nails the concept: a vet table, an X-ray station, a reception desk, and enough animal accessories to keep a kid deep in imaginative play. The three minifigs fit the story well and the animals give the whole thing a reason to exist beyond just the building. But LEGO® priced this like it has more going on than it does — 267 pieces at $39.99 is a tough sell when you hold the finished model in your hands and realize how light it feels. The build itself is short and uncomplicated, which is fine for the target age but leaves adult buyers feeling the gap between price and what's on the shelf. As a play set it earns a B+ — the scenario is clear, the accessories are good, and kids tend to love the animal care theme. The F on price is what keeps this from being an easy recommend.
