574 pieces at $69.99 is a tough sell when the build itself doesn't justify the gap — but whoever specced three minifigs into a Friends airplane set understood the assignment.
Is the price fair?D$69.99 for this build is overpriced by a noticeable margin — wait for a sale or skip it.
Will you love it?B-Fun color palette and solid minifig count make it likable, just not lovable.
Holds its value?C-Unlikely to appreciate meaningfully — Friends sets at this tier rarely command collector premiums.

The Full Take
The Heartlake City Airplane lands with a C+ overall, and the tension between its strengths and its price tag explains almost everything. Three minifigs for a mid-size Friends set is a genuine bright spot — that's the kind of character density that makes a playset feel populated rather than sparse. The airplane itself is cheerful and recognizable on a shelf, pink-and-purple color blocking doing the heavy lifting for display appeal. But $69.99 for 574 pieces is where the math stops working in your favor — this set asks a lot for what it delivers in build complexity and wow factor. The techniques are competent without being clever; experienced builders will move through it quickly and remember little. It's a set that works best as a gift for a Friends-obsessed kid, less so as a deliberate purchase for anyone else. At a sale price it becomes a different conversation entirely.
