Friends sets don't always get credit for their environmental storytelling, but this little café earns it — the outdoor seating, the pastry counter, the color palette all read as a coherent little world. At $19.99 it's not a screaming deal for 224 pieces, but the design punches above its price bracket in terms of finished look. Two minifigs is light, though for a café setting it's at least plausible. Kids get a natural play scenario built right in — ordering, serving, hanging out — without needing to invent one. Display-wise it sits cleanly on a shelf without looking sparse or half-finished. The A- on love is well-deserved: this is one of those sets that just works for its audience. The C- on resale is the honest caveat — Friends sets this size move slowly on the secondary market, so buy it for the build, not the backend.
