The Full Take
The Siege of Gondor wouldn't exist without Grond, and LEGO® knows Middle-earth fans will recognize that name immediately. Problem is, recognition alone doesn't justify what they're charging here. Two minifigs and 307 pieces is a thin proposition at this price point — you're paying a premium for the IP, full stop. The build itself has some charm; the wolf head has personality and the ram structure reads well on a shelf. But the value equation is just off, and a C- overall score reflects a set that could have been something special if LEGO® had priced it with any restraint. Die-hard Tolkien collectors will still want it — everyone else should wait for a sale.
