Luke Skywalker's lightsaber is one of the most iconic objects in cinema history, and LEGO®'s version of it is a static hilt display piece with 145 pieces and zero minifigures. The build itself is fine — there are some decent SNOT techniques getting the cylindrical shape right — but nothing here surprises a builder who's been around. The real problem is the price tag, which would be a stretch even if this thing were twice the size. As a shelf piece it has presence if you squint, but it's not going to hold a room the way the UCS Helmet line does. Star Wars fans deserve better than a glorified desk trinket at this price point. Every metric this set gets graded on comes back the same: not enough for what they're charging.
