The Full Take
The Fell Beast is one of the most iconic creatures in fantasy cinema, and LEGO® finally giving it a set should be a moment. Instead, the execution lands as a small, expensive disappointment that struggles to justify its shelf space against what it costs. One minifig — the Witch-king — is the right call thematically, but it can't carry the weight of an overpriced entry alone. The build itself is serviceable for the creature's silhouette, but 270 pieces leaves the model feeling thin where it should feel menacing. Lord of the Rings sets carry real collector demand, which softens the blow slightly on the hold side, but don't expect this one to outperform the license's heavier hitters. As a display piece it reads more like a placeholder than a centerpiece. The IP is doing the heavy lifting here, and it's not quite enough.
