Fifteen minifigs spanning multiple LEGO® themes in one box sounds like a dream until you realize the scenes holding them together are about as deep as a sampler platter — fun, but nobody's full.
Is the price fair?A-Decent but not generous — the minifig count saves the price tag from feeling like a mistake.
Will you love it?B-Fun to open, a little thin to build, and oddly charming on a shelf if you love theme-hopping.
Holds its value?CC-grade hold means buy it because you want it, not because you're expecting the market to reward you later.

The Full Take
Icons of Play is a celebration set at heart: fifteen minifigs, several mini-environments, and enough variety to remind you why LEGO® spans so many worlds. The problem is that variety cuts both ways — nothing here gets room to breathe, and the builds feel like lobby displays rather than destinations. At $99.99 it's not a steal, but it's not a slap in the face either; the minifig haul does a lot of heavy lifting on the value side. For collectors, it's the kind of set that looks best in photos and slightly underwhelms in hand. That said, the piece variety is genuinely broad, and dedicated fans of any one included theme will find at least one thing they're happy to own. It lands squarely in B territory — better than mid, not quite a must-buy.
