The Death Star II is one of Star Wars' most iconic structures, and LEGO®'s mini version has almost nothing to show for the license. 289 pieces and no minifigures is a tough sell at any price, but at what LEGO® charges here, it borders on insulting. The build itself doesn't deliver enough visual payoff to hang on a shelf with confidence, and there's nothing to hand a kid when it's done. It's the kind of set that exists to fill a product slot, not to excite anyone. The C- hold grade is about the only silver lining — GWP-style Star Wars pieces do occasionally find a floor — but that's faint praise for a set that whiffs on every other front.
