Blacktron is back — and LEGO® charged accordingly. The nostalgia is real, the ship looks menacing on a shelf, but $40 for 356 pieces is a tough pill when the theme carries most of the weight.
Is the price fair?C-Nostalgia tax is real — $40 for this part count stings.
Will you love it?BThe Blacktron aesthetic does most of the heavy lifting, and it works.

The Full Take
Few LEGO® color schemes hit like Blacktron's black-and-yellow, and this cruiser wears it well enough to turn heads on any shelf. The silhouette is sharp, the minifigs nail the classic villain aesthetic, and for fans who grew up in the late '80s this thing is basically a time machine. That said, the build itself is straightforward — don't expect clever techniques or jaw-dropping part variety. The price sits in uncomfortable territory: you're paying a nostalgia premium, which LEGO® knows full well and has priced accordingly. The hold grade is middling, so this isn't a set you buy hoping it funds something later. Buy it because Blacktron deserved a comeback and this one delivers the vibe, if not quite the value.
