The Full Take
The Mini Adidas Originals Superstar is one of those sets where the concept does most of the heavy lifting. LEGO® captured the silhouette surprisingly well — the shell toe, the three stripes, the low-profile shape — all in 92 pieces. The build is short but satisfying, the kind of thing you knock out in an evening and immediately want to put somewhere people will notice it. It skews heavily toward display; there's no play value to speak of, and the minifig is more of a bonus than a feature. At its retail price, it asks a lot for what's essentially a small novelty item, but fans of the collab or sneakerheads who also brick will find it hard to resist. The A- on love is earned — this just looks right sitting on a shelf next to the real thing.
