The price grade here is an F, and that's the whole story — 40 pieces, one minifig, and whatever LEGO® was thinking, it wasn't your wallet.
The parts alone are worth about 42% of the street price — the basis for this F price read.
OverpricedYou're paying well above the parts' value — $5 of parts for a $13 price.
City Jungle Explorer Kit is a set that lives and dies by how much you need a tiny jungle scene in your life. The build is light — 40 pieces is a lunch-break project — but the little explorer minifig has genuine charm and the jungle accessories are cute in a supplemental-kit kind of way. Where it stumbles hard is the price tag, which is wildly out of step with what you're actually getting. A C overall feels right: not broken, not impressive, just a minor set that got a major price. If you already collect City and want a quick shelf filler, the charm is there. If you're weighing it on value alone, this one's tough to defend.
