The Retro Gaming Console leans hard into the 8-bit era aesthetic, and for twenty bucks it mostly delivers. Three builds for one price is the Creator promise, and this set keeps it — even if none of the three modes is a showstopper on its own. The piece count is modest but the subject matter carries weight: there's a reason every millennial stops scrolling when they see a chunky gray controller rendered in bricks. Display potential exists but it's small, so shelf presence depends entirely on context — a gaming desk setup or a themed shelf makes it sing, a generic bookcase makes it disappear. No minifigs to sweeten the deal, which stings a little at this scale. Still, the price is calibrated right for an impulse buy or a gift, and the C+ overall reflects a set that's good-not-great rather than anything broken.
