The rhino isn't a subject LEGO® visits often, so there's something refreshing about seeing it get a proper 780-piece treatment with skin folds, horn detail, and a sense of actual mass. Creator 3-in-1 animal builds tend to live or die on how convincing the hero model looks, and this one clears that bar — it reads as a rhino from across the room. The alternate builds are less interesting, as is almost always the case, but the main model has enough sculptural character to justify the box. Where it stumbles is price: sixty bucks puts it in range of sets that offer considerably more visual payoff or play value. No minifigs means nothing to collect or swap, which won't bother display builders but will sting parents comparing options for a kid. It's a competent, likable set with a narrow audience — and that audience should like it fine.
