Three-in-one and $20 sounds like a deal until you realize you're not excited to build any of the three.
The parts alone are worth about 130% of the street price — the basis for this C price read.
BargainThe parts alone are worth more than you pay — $17 of parts for $13.
The Exotic Parrot is the Creator 3-in-1 formula at its most anonymous — colorful enough to photograph, forgettable enough to forget. The parrot build reads fine on paper but the execution lacks the sculptural confidence that makes a small animal set worth keeping. At $19.99, you'd want either a knockout primary model or parts worth looting, and this doesn't land on either count. The alternate builds (frog and fish) are the kind of bonus that sounds better than it plays. It's not a disaster, just a set that never finds a reason to exist beyond filling a shelf spot at a price point. There are better Creator animal sets in the same range that outshine it on every axis.
