The Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent has a genuinely evocative premise — longships and Norse mythology feel like a natural LEGO® flex — but the set struggles to fully deliver on the promise. The ship itself is the highlight: decent scale, some nice shaping on the hull, and a serpent lurking beneath adds drama. But at $119.99 for 1192 pieces, LEGO® is charging flagship money for a mid-tier build, and that's hard to shake. The 3-in-1 format means none of the three builds get the attention they'd deserve as a standalone set. Minifig selection is solid enough for the theme, but four figures won't win anyone over at this price.
