The Red Racer is one of those sets where the concept is fine and the execution is just... there. Three builds in one is the pitch, but at 72 pieces none of them have enough going on to feel complete. The car mode looks like a rough thumbnail of a race car — recognizable, not impressive. No minifig means no character to anchor any of the builds, and at this scale that absence stings. The value floor grade being the weakest number on the board says everything about what you're actually getting for $4.99. Cheap entry price, sure, but 'cheap' is doing most of the work in that sentence.
