A polybag TIE Interceptor sounds fun until you see what $6–8 buys you — 48 pieces of "close enough" that works better as a desk trinket than a shelf statement.
The parts alone are worth about 66% of the street price — the basis for this D+ price read.
OverpricedYou're paying well above the parts' value — $3 of parts for a $5 price.
The TIE Interceptor is one of Star Wars' most recognizable silhouettes, and LEGO® has done it justice in bigger sets — this polybag version is a different conversation. At 48 pieces, the model captures the general shape but leaves the detail work to your imagination. No minifig, limited play scenarios, and a price point that makes this feel like an impulse buy that didn't quite think itself through. The build itself is quick and mildly satisfying, like a five-minute snack that reminds you you're hungry. It's not a bad little object, but it's a hard sell when better TIE options exist at not much more spend. Completionists and Star Wars die-hards will grab it anyway — everyone else should think twice.
