New York City is one of the most-requested Architecture subjects, so the fact that LEGO® finally delivered a proper Big Apple set means something. The lineup here is legitimately impressive: Empire State, Chrysler, Flatiron, and a few supporting players that fill out the borough feel. At 1465 pieces the build has some meat to it, and the finished shelf presence is strong enough to hold its own against the series' best. The C+ price read says it's fair, not a bargain — you're paying a small premium for the marquee city name. Where the set wobbles is ambition: New York deserves the drama that Tokyo or Shanghai brought, and this one plays it a little safe compositionally. Still, if you've been waiting for a New York Architecture set, the wait is over and it doesn't disappoint in any deal-breaking way.
