Nigel Mansell's 1992 season was borderline untouchable — 9 wins, dominant from race one, the FW14B making every rival look obsolete. LEGO® leaning into that legacy with this Icons release makes sense on paper. The car's proportions read well at this scale, and the Mansell minifig is a nice touch for anyone who grew up watching that red-and-white Williams blitz the field. But 799 pieces for $79.99 puts it in a competitive bracket against sets that deliver a more satisfying build, and the finished model doesn't quite command a shelf the way the real car commanded a circuit. It's a solid B+ on price — fair for what's in the box — but the overall experience floats around a C, which means it's good enough for the devoted fan and forgettable for everyone else. If the FW14B means something to you personally, that emotional pull does a lot of the heavy lifting here.
