The Endurance is one of history's most dramatic ships rendered in LEGO®, and the model doesn't flinch — ice-trapped hull, rigging, the whole doomed silhouette. Solid B, but you're buying this because Shackleton's story demands a shelf tribute, not because the math worked out.
Is the price fair?B$270 for a ship that actually looks like the ship — fair, not a bargain.
Will you love it?C+The scene sells it; the build sustains it, but zero minifigs leaves a gap.
Holds its value?BNiche enough to age quietly well — not a rocket, not a dud.

The Full Take
Shackleton's Endurance is arguably the greatest survival story ever told, and LEGO® picked the exact right moment — the ship crushed in Antarctic ice — to immortalize it. The model captures that trapped, listing silhouette with real conviction: the hull detail, the mast work, and the ice base all read as a cohesive scene rather than a generic tall ship. At 3011 pieces and $270 there's no minifig payoff, which stings a little on paper, but this was never a play set — it's a display piece built around a specific historical moment. The build itself is a long sit, and rigging builds rarely are, though the structural work on the hull offers more variety than a first glance suggests. Value retention is reasonable for a licensed Icons set with this kind of niche historical weight, though it won't move like a modular or a flagship Star Wars. If you know the Endurance story, this set probably already has a spot reserved on your shelf — if you don't, look it up first and THEN decide.
