The Full Take
The medieval theme is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and to its credit, the Town Square pulls off the aesthetic: layered storefronts, a working well, market stalls with actual character. Eight minifigs populate the scene well enough that it doesn't feel sparse on the shelf. The build is satisfying in stretches — the half-timbered upper floors have some texture work worth slowing down for — but it never quite hits the jaw-drop moments you'd want at this price point. That price is the real sticking point: $229.99 lands this in direct competition with sets that either go bigger or go more technically ambitious. The B- on love makes sense — people who buy it tend to like it, it just rarely becomes the centerpiece of the collection. Secondary market history on Icons modulars suggests some patience pays off, but this isn't a guaranteed winner.
